Admission into the Clinician Scientist Programme

Applications for the Clinician Scientist Programme may be submitted on an ongoing basis. Please send your written application (in English) with all the necessary documents to the IZKF-administrative office.

  • Letter of motivation (official letterhead with signature)
  • (Formless) summary of your research project (1 page sufficient), also where and which partner cooperated in the research project (clinic, working group)
  • Letter of support from the head of the institution (clinic, institute, department), you are also welcome to submit an additional letter of recommendation
  • Research Profile CSP
  • Financial commitment for the 6-month rotation

  • Letter of motivation (official letterhead with signature)

  • Research Profile CSP
  • Financial commitment for the 12-month rotation
  • Confirmation/approval of
    • Completion of CSP Step 1 (or confirmation of a comparable training course from an external university) or
    • Self-acquired scientifically reviewed third-party funded project or ELAN/IZKF project running or approved in the application year, or
    • Post-doc stay abroad of at least 2 years
    • At least two years specialist medical training
