To aid this process the IZKF offers starting grants to young postdoctoral physicians and scientists without previous significant external funding. Candidates should have a visible publication record and projects should be based on an original idea with first tangible results. Projects include a position for a technician or a doctoral student and consumables for 30 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"bodytext wp-block-paragraph\">After this time it is expected that successful candidates submit an external grant application (external funding agency with review process). If the application is successfully filed within duration of the junior project, the spending period will be extended by another 6 months. The IZKF offers arrangements for support during parental leave. Please contact the administrative office for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Physicians, natural scientists and psychologists with a completed doctorate from clinics, institutes and departments of the entire Faculty of Medicine (a habilitation is an exclusion criterion)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>up to 35 years of age (cut-off date: 1.1.2026\/ up to 24 months (women) and 12 months (men) per child can be taken into account, additional proven periods of parental leave can be considered)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>already completed project-specific preliminary work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>at least 1 original publication as first author in a journal recognized for the subject<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>no significant third-party funding of their own<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>own position is secured for the entire duration of the junior project and at least 25% of which is financed from the operating budget \/ from a permanent position or free third-party funds \/ programme allowance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>project is supported by the head of the institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div
