{"id":6825,"date":"2023-04-26T14:07:25","date_gmt":"2023-04-26T12:07:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.izkf.med.fau.de\/?page_id=6825"},"modified":"2026-05-06T10:24:02","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T08:24:02","slug":"jochen-kalden-foerderprogramm","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.izkf.med.fau.de\/en\/projekte\/jochen-kalden-foerderprogramm\/","title":{"rendered":"Jochen-Kalden-Funding Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The Jochen-Kalden-Funding Programme offers an attractive career development opportunity for outstanding young scientists with a training in medicine or natural sciences and a strong background and reputation in one of the Faculties\u2018 main research fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligible to apply are<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Newly appointed W1\/ integrated W2 or W3 professors from external with tenure track or a comparable option of tenure at the Faculty of Medicine (note: those appointed internally from a position in Erlangen are no longer eligible to apply from 2025),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>who have already taken up their professorship in Erlangen at the time of application,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>who finished their doctorate not more than 8 years ago (Natural scientists) or 10 years (medical professional) (in addition, up to 24 months (women) and 12 month (men) per child can be credited),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>whose start of employment at the time of the application was no more than 2 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and who do not yet have significant funding for junior research groups (e.g. Heisenberg, Emmy Noether, Max Eder Group, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Staff and consumables<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Staff: Graduate student and technical assistant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consumables: 40.000 \u20ac Sachmittel p.a.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duration: 24 + 12 month (if a third-party funding application is submitted to a LOM-listed third party funding agency (at least twice listed))<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-notice \"><div class=\"notice notice-hinweis\"><div class=\"icon-box\"><svg class=\"icon icon-symbols-notifications\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use href=\"#symbols-notifications\"><\/use><\/svg><\/div><div>\n\n<p>The second staff position can be recruited up to 6 month after the first recruitment. Both can be employed for 24 months each.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use of the special programmes of IZKF.
