Calls for applications for the Publication Award 2026
Dear Professor, Dear Sir or Madam,
The IZKF is offering two publication awards endowed with €1,000 each for the first time. One prize will be awarded for a publication focusing on basic science and one prize for a clinical/translational publication.
The publication prices are aimed at all young researchers in the Faculty of Medicine up to a maximum of 38 years at the time of publication. For the prize to be awarded, the publication must have been published as the first author in the period 01/01/2025 – 31/12/2025. Work that led to the publication must have been carried out in Erlangen. At the time of application, the applicant must have a contract at the Erlangen site.
Please forward this announcement to suitable young scientists at your institution. Applications must be submitted electronically to the IZKF administrative office (izkf@fau.de) by 31/03/2026 at the latest. Please attach the publication itself in PDF format, a motivation letter, a research profile and the classification (basic scientific or clinical/translational) of the publication (all in English).
The IZKF’s Junior Scientist Committee will select the two winners. The official announcement of the award winners will take place during the IZKF Symposium. The award winners will present the award-winning work in a short lecture on June 26, 2026.
